A member posting as geekpryde said they do use such a service, but for an MTG collection ("magic cards" in the post), not a coin collection. The post included a link to collectinsure.com.
geekpryde wrote of having spoken to the company on the phone and holding an active policy at the time of posting, with no issues or complaints so far.
According to the post, the company insures part of the collection off-site, which was what geekpryde wanted. The member's son has a few thousand dollars' worth of cards with him at college at any given time. The post says the son competes and runs a college gaming club, so the coverage was necessary.
