2025-W Proof Silver Eagle Ranks First in U.S. Mint Weekly Sales, Ahead of New Iowa Dollar

A Silver Eagle Ranks First
Newly released U.S. Mint products usually rank first in the Mint's following weekly sales report. This time the new products were rolls and bags of 2026 American Innovation dollars for Iowa.
That was not the case in the newest report. The top seller was last year's 2025-W Proof American Silver Eagle, which rose 28,680 to 290,737. CoinNews said soaring silver prices fueled that demand.
The Iowa Dollar's Start
The Iowa Innovation dollar launched on January 6. It depicts Dr. Norman Borlaug holding a sheaf of wheat. All four new products containing the coin appeared among the Mint's strongest weekly sellers, though other American Silver Eagles ranked between them.
Offered in 25-coin rolls and 100-coin bags, the Iowa dollar opened with combined sales of 936,300 coins. CoinNews called it one of the series' better recent starts.

Across All Products
The Mint's latest report gave sales data for 618 numismatic products. Nine products gained more than 1,000 units from the previous week, compared with five the week before. A total of 143 products topped their previous gains, up from 87 the week before.
Seven products posted week-over-week declines, compared with seventeen in the prior week. Five of them lost a single unit. The recently released 2025 American Innovation Dollar Reverse Proof Set was adjusted down by 1,041 to 35,520.
