Members of the CoinTalk forum held the 2025 "Twelve Days of COINmas" coin giveaway from November 27, 2025, to January 13, 2026. Six members donated prizes for twelve drawings. From November 27, 2025, to January 13, 2026
CoinTalk members held the 2025 edition of "Twelve Days of COINmas," a free holiday coin giveaway. According to a post by organizer lordmarcovan, the contest began on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2025. It was originally meant to run until Christmas but lasted until January 13, 2026.
The forum ran the same theme in 2024, 2023 and 2022. The format is twelve rounds, with twelve drawings for twelve prize lots.
Six Donors and How to Enter
The prizes were donated by six members: JoshuaP, Randy Abercrombie, Eric the Red, masterswimmer, lordmarcovan and BuffaloHunter. Lordmarcovan thanked Eric the Red and BuffaloHunter, who each took three rounds.
The contest was free, open to everyone and offered free worldwide shipping. To enter, members said they wanted the lot in play and posted something else coin-related or cheerful. They could also enter on behalf of another person by naming that person. The only obligation for winners was to post in the thread after receiving the prize.
The First Round
JoshuaP donated the first lot. It included two ancient coins, a mostly full Canadian small cent folder starting at 1920, and about 50 world coins, old and new. One entry included a photo of a pet cat with a request that the prize go to another user if the member won.
Beaver96 won the Round 1 drawing on November 30, 2025.
A Redraw in Round 8
The thread's first post lists the donor, drawing date, winner, shipping date and receipt date for all twelve rounds. The Round 12 drawing was held on January 13, 2026.
Round 8 was drawn on December 27, 2025, but the prize was still unclaimed as of January 28, 2026. A new drawing was held that day, and beaver96 won. The prize was shipped on January 29 and its receipt was reported on February 3, 2026.
Lordmarcovan proposed holding the contest again in the 2026 holiday season.
