In January 2026, CoinTalk Members Said They Had Not Yet Found New Semiquincentennial Coins

Conflicting information on what was issued
The member who started the thread said they were getting mixed messages on social media about what the Mint had issued and released. The thread starter quoted one post saying, "The Mayflower Compact Quarter, the dime, and the nickel are the only Semiquincentennial coins in circulation right now," and another saying, "The Liberty Dime, Liberty Half-dollar and the Mayflower Quarter were released on January 5."
Another member replied that the Mint had announced on its website that it began shipping them on January 5.
Not yet seen in many places
Members in the South, New Hampshire, Central Florida and Denver posted that they had not seen any yet. A member in Colorado wrote that their bank, which gets its coins from Loomis, had not seen anything from 2026 yet. One member said they seldom handle coins or currency and pay mostly by debit card.
Designs for 2027
One member shared text from the Mint's website: in 2027, the dime will revert to the immediately previous design, and the 2027 reverse designs for the quarter and half dollar will celebrate Youth and Paralympic Sports as part of a new four-year program authorized by Public Law 116-330. When that member wished the new dime design would stay, another replied that the law specified one-year designs.
Roll prices
One member said they bought rolls on eBay from a seller who claimed to have them on hand. Another member said $25 for a $10 roll plus $8.30 for shipping seemed excessive. The buyer replied that the Mint was charging $56 for two rolls (P and D) with $13 for shipping, so the member did not think they had done too badly. The member added that the Mint's rolls would not be available until February 5. The same member later posted that they received 40 coins and said they seemed a bit thinner than previous quarters. That is the member's impression, not a confirmed fact.
Another member recalled that the Mint once sold a "Circulating Set" of business strikes. The member wrote that it cost $5.95 in 2017, $8.95 in 2018 and $10 in 2020 before it was discontinued, and said the Mint now wants over $100.
