Elsen Publishes Catalogue for Auction 162, Held on 13 and 14 June 2025
On May 2, 2025, Elsen announced that the catalogue for its 162nd public auction was online. The sale was scheduled for 13 and 14 June 2025 and was to include ancient Greek, Roman and medieval coins, coins of the Low Countries, jetons and medals.

Elsen announced that the catalogue of its 162nd public auction was online. The sale was to take place on 13 and 14 June 2025.
Day One: Friday, 13 June
The first session was to open with selections of ancient Greek, Roman and medieval coins. The notice said these include a decadrachm of Syracuse signed by the engraver Kimon, whom it calls a master engraver.
The Jacques Druart collection of coins of the Low Countries, Belgium, France and the Netherlands was to follow, including a series of siege and necessity coins.
Day Two: 14 June
The second session was to continue with a special collection of patagons from the Spanish Netherlands, followed by coins of the Low Countries, a collection of coins of Naples and Sicily and a selection of shipwreck coins. The sale was to end with modern and oriental coins, jetons and medals.
Bidding and Viewing
Pre-sale bidding was to close on Thursday, 12 June, at 4 pm CET. Online bidding was available on elsen.bidinside.com, and the notice asked users to register by Wednesday, 11 June, at the latest. Accounts from earlier auctions remained active.
The lots could be viewed at Elsen's office from 19 May to 12 June, by appointment only.
