Chinese Dragon Silver Coin Wins 2026 Coin of the Year
On August 27, the Coin of the Year ceremony honored winners across six nations' mints. The top award went to the Chinese Dragon 10-yuan silver coin from the Chinese mint group. This coin received the highest vote count in the Best Crown category and led the final balloting.
The ceremony drew speakers including Joaquín Jiménez, chief engraver of Monnaie de Paris; Michael Chow, founder of the East Asian Numismatic Journal; and Paul Hollis, director of the U.S. Mint. Hollis accepted the gold category award on behalf of the winning mint. John Mercanti received the Lifetime Achievement Award.
2027 Show Moves to Midwest Location
The 2027 World's Fair of Money will take place August 10–14 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois. The following ANA National Money Show is scheduled for March 4–6, 2027, in Virginia Beach.
