First Piece of a New Series
The piece is the first release in the new Crayola Precious Metals Crayons Collection, a licensed multiyear series from Crayola and Kevin Lipton Rare Coins of Beverly Hills, California.
It was introduced on August 25, the opening day of the American Numismatic Association's 2026 World's Fair of Money in Pittsburgh.
Each collectible is designed to match the dimensions and appearance of an authentic Crayola crayon. It contains 1.5 troy ounces of .999 fine silver and comes in Crayola-branded packaging.
A Color From the First Box of 1903
Blue was one of eight colors in Crayola's first crayon box in 1903, along with red, orange, yellow, green, violet, brown and black. That eight-count box sold for five cents.
What Comes Next
Plans call for the series to expand over multiple years with standard colors, fan-favorite shades, rare color releases and specialty editions, so collectors can build color sets as new pieces are introduced.

The first Blue Crayon was made available at the ANA show through Lipton Coins, Fine Art & Antiques Gallery. Broader authorized distribution is planned, with more colors expected.
