According to the poster, the sale's advertisement did not mention coins in its text. An accompanying photograph, however, showed coin cases, which prompted the visit. At the sale were two cases. One held nearly unidentifiable coins that the seller described as having "come from the sea."
The other case contained Mexican silver pesos, which the poster purchased.
The poster disclosed that they dipped the coins after buying them. Other users asked whether the seller knew the value of the silver or if the coins were acquired inexpensively, but an answer was not confirmed in the thread.
