CoinNews reported on August 22, 2026, that the U.S. Mint would release new products on three consecutive days the following week, August 25 to 27. CoinNews described the period as one of the Mint's biggest release stretches of the year.
Aug. 25: Morgan and Peace dollars
On Tuesday, Aug. 25, the Mint was to release 1776 ~ 2026 Enhanced Uncirculated Morgan and Peace Silver Dollars. The releases mark the first use of the enhanced uncirculated finish in the modern Morgan and Peace series.
Both are struck at West Point. Each coin is priced at $169 and contains 0.859 troy ounce of .999 fine silver. Each carries the dual date and a Liberty Bell "250" privy mark.
Mintage and product limits are 250,000 for each coin, with an initial household order limit of 10.
Aug. 26: U.S. Constitution quarter
On Wednesday, Aug. 26, the Mint was to release rolls and bags of the 1776 ~ 2026 U.S. Constitution quarter. It is the fourth of five one-year quarter designs celebrating America's 250th anniversary.
The reverse shows Independence Hall. The building's clock is set to 2:50, a reference to the nation's 250th anniversary.
Philadelphia and Denver 100-coin bags are priced at $63 each. A two-roll set with coins from both mints is $56. The products have no mintage or product limits, with an initial household order limit of two.
Aug. 27: 1804 dollar gold coin and silver medal set
On Thursday, Aug. 27, the Mint was to release the fourth set in the five-part Best of the Mint program: the 1804 Silver Dollar High Relief Gold Coin and Silver Medal Set.
Its centerpiece is a one-ounce, 24-karat gold recreation of the 1804 dollar. It is paired with a one-ounce .999 fine silver medal. The gold coin also carries a Liberty Bell "250" privy mark for the nation's Semiquincentennial.
The gold coin is a modern recreation, not an original 1804 dollar, and the silver piece is a medal, not a coin.
The set has a mintage limit of 15,000. That is half the 30,000 limit of each of the prior three sets and the lowest in the series so far. The initial household order limit is one.
The price had not been announced at the time of the report. According to CoinNews, the Mint's pricing tier in effect at that time, based on a gold range of $4,350 to $4,399.99 an ounce, would put the set at $5,540.
The first three historic coins in the program, and the final one scheduled for Sept. 24, have previously been recreated on modern U.S. Mint coinage. The 1804 dollar has not. CoinNews wrote that this sets it apart and makes it the most anticipated release in the series for many collectors.

CoinNews noted that most of the Mint's major August releases were tied to America's Semiquincentennial through dual dates, privy marks or one-year anniversary designs.
