CoinTalk Members Guess the Grade of an ICG-Slabbed 1903-P; Guesses Range From AU55 to MS63

Guesses Varied
The guesses varied. Some members said AU55. Others said "AU58 details, cleaned" or "Unc. Detail - Cleaned." Others said MS61 or 62, MS62, or MS63.
physics-fan3.14 went a different direction and said "63 PL" (prooflike). The member said they saw no signs of cleaning, and that photographing prooflike coins in a way that shows their surfaces is very difficult.
The original poster also said the photos did the coin little justice and added screenshots from a video. The poster said better photos would follow in a day or two once the coin arrived.
Prooflike and Contrast
Mr. Numismatist wrote that they had considered prooflike but saw no contrast between the fields and devices. physics-fan3.14 replied that contrast is not required for a prooflike coin and that it depends entirely on the reflectivity of the fields.
Barney McRae guessed MS62, not prooflike. The member said they own about half a dozen ICG slabs, but that ICG is their fourth choice for confidence in grading Morgans.
